Showcasing & Awareness of  existing GEF SGP projects in Palau
Showcasing & Awareness of  existing GEF SGP projects in Palau
The GEF Small Grants Programme has been in existence in the Republic of Palau since 2013. Over the years, the GEF SGP has successfully completed a number of projects demonstrating community efforts to enhance, protect, and safeguard Palau?s natural environment. Paradoxically, GEF?s good work in the community has largely remained unnoticed in not only Palau but also the region, due to the fact that these SGP projects have not been properly documented and promoted. The project ?Showcasing & Awareness of existing GEF SGP projects in Palau? will be the rationale of PEACE, to provide more media awareness for the GEF SGP projects that are being implemented in Palau.

The primary objective of this project will be to create a series of videos featuring Palau?s GEF SGP projects highlighting each of the GEF focal areas of Conservation Biodiversity, Climate Change Mitigation, Prevention of Land Degradation, International Waters, and Persistent Organic Pollutants/Chemicals. Furthermore, PEACE will also showcase the Climate Change adaptation projects also funded through the GEF SGP.
