GREEN UTILITIES TO ENHANCE ECO-SCHOOL INITIATIVES
The project objectives includes the cultivation of a vegetable and herb garden, identification and labeling of native plants, energy consumption and reduction awareness, and maintaining a litter-free campus. The student lead committee will make a significant shift in the mindset of the entire school population after implementation of their action plan.
Aside from the continued implementation of the existing initiatives, the assessment committee has the following recommendations:
a) Installation of solar panels in air-conditioned areas of the school and frequently used areas such as the auditorium, pool area, IT labs, and Science labs.
b) Installation of rainwater catchment system in areas close to our garden and areas which can catch the most volume of water such as the cafeteria and auditorium.
