WHEREAS GEF/SGP has established and provided funding for a project, being Introducing Fuel-efficient Stove to Improve Biodiversity Conservation in Ishkashim Badakhshan. The project addresses the shrub and fuelwood overuse by proposing this project to replace the in-efficient tandoor with a fuel efficient stove that reduces the consumption many fold compare to tendoor. The project is also addressing the fuel wood shortage by planting trees as a part of Green Badakhshan Community forestation project.
