Aim of the project is to build a strategic framework for civil society-Government collaboration in Uganda through establishment of dialogue platform that will contribute to setting-up innovative institutional and financial support mechanisms.

Towards this objective, the project will seek: to strengthen institutional and technical capacity of GEF civil society network in Uganda for enhanced consultation, involvement and participation; to catalyze implementation of multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and consequent integration into national decision making frameworks, and to foster innovative partnerships in the realization of global environmental benefits through working with private sector under the UN Global Compact Local Network in Uganda on sustainability reporting via communication of progress (COP) based on environment principles under the UN Global Compact.
