ACTION FOR ENHANCING CAPACITY OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION AROUND JOZANI WIDER ECOSYSTEM-ZANZIBAR
Context:
Jozani wider ecosystem is a major remnant biodiversity hotspot in Zanzibar that needs a lot of care and development projects that focus on conservation. It has millions of fauna and flora that are being pressured by surrounding communities. This has put the ecosystem to become so vulnerable because less is done to ensuring that the ongoing human activities are actually supporting conservation initiatives. Worse enough is when there are so many NGOs and CBOs working along this very important ecosystem and yet they have low capacity in climate change and adaptation issues, conservation capacities is low and therefore a big need to provide support to these NGOs and CBOs to improve their contribution in conserving Jozani Wider Ecosystem conservation.
