Promoting conservation agriculture and environmental entrepreneurship for soil protection and land restoration: a measure on the way to enhancing food security and adaptation to climate extremes at Magadini village in Siha district, West Kilimanjaro.
Project?s Primary Objective:
To promote land protection, restoration, food security and adaptation to climate extremes in Magadini village through improved Climate Smart Agriculture Techniques.
Implementation Strategies:
? Train 40 farmers on conservation agricultural practices
? Conducting a study tour to 20 farmers on conservation agriculture
? Establishment of demonstration farms
? Planting of 15000 trees on bare land
? Establishment of alternative income generating activities i.e. gardening and beekeeping
Project Sustainability Strategies:
? Train farmers on conservation agricultural practices
? Establishment of demonstration farms
? Establishing of Income generating activities
