The Solar Power Project of Thaphaiban, Nakai District
Kum Thaphaiban is a rural area which is far from municipality of Nakai district, Khammoun province; located in national forestry conservation that is including 482 households. However, 174 households just can have solar power. In recently, villagers have been trained on education, public health, but they still cannot have use electricity for sustainable development to enhance the livelihood properly. The project aims to build the solar power project by choosing 3 villages: Ban Markfuong, Thaphaiban and Ban Korbong, which are in aligne with strategy-policy and the target 2025 of Lao government in increasing the using proportion of renewable energy 30% of the whole renewable energy use with priority to develop solar power and make stability on electric power use in remote areas.
