Environmental Protection of NongsaO, Ban Hangheng, kum kengkhon, Khongsedon District, Salavanh Province
NongsaO or marsh SaO is a natural pond with a wide size around 100 ? 200 meters and 2,000 meters of the length, deep around 1 ? 3 meters with the area of 50 hectares. This is an important source of place for people to make a living. Due to the number of population is increasing which makes the demand on fishing and hunting aquatic fauna are also increasing. Moreover, the villagers who live surrounding the river bank, they have cut down the tree for agricultural plantation area that leads to the habitat of aquatic fauna lose. The project aims are to protect and conserve the pond around its surrounding circumstance area to be more abundant and become the source of living for villagers, source of river to use in agricultural cultivation and livestock farming. Moreover, it will be the natural tourism site in future.
