Agriculture land management and development project
Ban Nahome, Beng district, Oudomxay province is rich of natural resources. The main livings of people here are based on nurtures of nature by hunting, fishing, collect vegetable from forest, collect non-timber forest products to sell, vegetable planting and animal husbandry. Recently, the production area is being destroyed by land plough, which is causing land erosion, villagers trespass forest area to expand new production area. In future trend, if there is no proper management for agricultural land the villager will face with the suffer of production area limitation, the using of chemical will increase especially herbicide usage, forest area will be destroying, which will lead to living standard of villager being down. The aims of project are mainly to conserve and develop agriculture land as well as environmental protection by finding the suitable and permanent land areas for villagers in Ban Nahome are doing the farming, do not allow them to trespass another forest area to pioneer the new farm land in conjunction with awareness raising to villagers for understanding on environmental issue.
