An increasing of population in local community of Ban Sopphouane, Khamkerd District, Bolikhamxay Province and the mix up of migration from other places move to stay in this village, which is an impact form of another development project that makes villagers have to use the huge amount of forest without uncontrolled. Even though, they have the regulation on land management, however the implementation is still weak and some of family still do the temporary farming, animal feeding base on nature and often keep moving from place to place which is causing forest, biodiversity, Non-Timber-Forest Products (NTFPs) and many kinds of tree were degradation and destroyed. The aim of the project is designed to raise awareness and promote the local community to concern on forest conservation and reforestation including sustainable use of NTFPs.
