In the last quarter, activities undertaken are tree planting, training of more selected women from other communities on the construction and maintenance of improve stoves, training on savings and credit, how to share the interest and lastly monitoring of the activities done by PIT.
Tree Planting
On the 10th of May 2018, the President of the group; Madam Georgina Anane, and her secretary went to Kintampo to fill the form for five (500) hundred seedlings which was later given on the 20th May 2018. The forestry department told them to go and prepare the land for pegging with the assistance of the Forestry Officers for 2-acre land.
On the 15th of May 2018, the women bought boards for pegging. The Forestry Officers came on the 16th and 17th of May 2018 to assist the women on the pegging. The planting was done on the 22nd and 23rd May 2018 respectively by the group. Other women have also planted two-acre acacia trees as well as Cashew trees around their farm boundaries for shade and protection.
Bush fire committee have been instituted to protect the environment.
The school children, traditional leaders Assemblymen and all opinion leaders are environmental educations because of the training.
Training of artisans
On June 5th 2018, ten (10) artisans were selected from five communities and terms negotiated as climate change educators and construction of improve stoves. They had theory on the importance of the new improve stoves and how to construct it. The facilitator; Mr. Seidu Alhassan, took the women through climate change effects and the need to plant trees. Furthermore, he told them not to destroy their sacred groove and stop using chemicals for farming. Finally, he taught the women how to protect the environment for good food and healthy life.
The communities are Dwere, Machala, Kandije, Old Longoro, and Yara, the traditional leaders and churches were involved for the training. The trained artisans are now constructing stoves for the household and business in the communities. So far forty households and twenty business enterprises have been supported to use clean cook stoves in each of the communities. On July 25th, the trained Artisans organized exhibition and demonstrated the benefits of clean cook stove in the various communities.



Construction of Commercial and Household Stoves
From the 20th to 22nd June 2018 the women artisans started the Construction through the support were given to construct stoves for households and for commercial purposes. 40 households have been assisted to convert to the improve cookstoves as well as 20 enterprises who are into Gari, shea butter processing and chop bar operators. The women group of Busuama is very grateful to GEF for the support. Other households have copied the skills from the Artisans and built their own clean cook stoves. The trained artisans have been constructing improve cook stoves for a fee to support their families.

Radio Discussions on Climate Change Issues
From July, five women who have been trained as environmental educators have been going to schools, churches and nearby communities to spread the news of climate change and the construction of clean cook stoves. These selected women have gone to Kintampo FM Stations to talk and educate the whole municipality on climate change and its effects on human beings, animals and rivers. These women went individually and on two different occasions. People phoned in to congratulate them for the great job and aslo asked questions which was bothering their minds.

Project Implementation Team (PIT)
The Project implementing team (PIT) have been monitoring the activities since its inception. Their report is that the education on the climate change mitigation and health improvement of women through the efficient institutional biomass clean cooking devices have gone down so many household and business enterprises have change to use the clean cook stoves.
On the 15th ? 20th August 2018, the project implementation team as part of monitoring and evaluation had gone to Dwere, Kandije, Manchala, old Longoro and Yara to see progress made on the construction of the improved cook stoves, use of it and its positive effects. They also visited the opinion Leaders to ask questions about Climate issues they learnt.
The PIT had positive responses and also that the selected women had done a good job by teaching the municipality on climate change issues and its negative effects.

Village Savings and Loans
The Community Savings and Loans have been encouraging with more members joining and benefiting. They have also received five hundred Ghana Cedis (GH? 500.00) on the 5th of October 2018, to support the community savings and credit which the whole community is involved.
