The University of The Bahamas will organize and lead a "green week" with the focal point as World Wetlands Day 2018. There will be a number of community awareness activities taking place throughout the week that will promote local and national awareness to wetland systems and their value to the community. The purpose of initiating this project is to build the capacity of UB?s Sustainability programme to encourage the UB CAMPUS SUSTAINABILITY
GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
1 Raise sustainability awareness through educational presentations and programs.
2 Implement sustainability policies that support and promote sustainable practices.
3 Implement UB campus sustainability programs and initiatives.
4 Increase UB outreach & build partnerships for sustainability.
5 Identify & create academic sustainability research opportunities for students, faculty, and staff.
6 Increase public relations through making UB initiatives a national model for institutions and organizations in The Bahamas.
