Sustainable agricultural in a sustainable community: Simple and sustainable Integrated Pest Management
This project aims to have an overview of the actual knowledge and skills of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) under the small farmers in Wanica and Saramacca and to provide tools where required. The main activities are:
- Baseline research regarding Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) activities developed and used by farmers.
- Depending on their knowledge, a modality will be developed which the farmers can use during and after the project.
- Provide training to the farmers regarding sustainable use of IPM and CSA and monitor their progress
