Conservation of biodiversity by sustainable agriculture through agroforestry techniques and practice
This project will encourage agroforestry that capitalizes on native biodiversity, particularly arboreal and arborescent flora, and provide wide environmental, social and economic benefits and will focuses on promoting Agroforestry in the educational system for the future farmers. Training of trainers (agriculture engineers with Agroforestry academic background). A guide document for farmers and a publication will be prepared for native trees and floral species for agroforestry. Trainings will be provided to cooperatives, municipalities, NGOs, foundations who work/connected with farmers. 15 training workshops for farmers will be conducted in different regions in Lebanon. And a blog component will be integrated in FON website for network and exchange information. A final workshop will be conducted for evaluations and feedback
