Conservation and Promotion of Achi Tapri Goat
The project is aimed at conserving the threatened breed of Achi Tapri Goat in Sindh, with focus to increase its rearing and promotion in the Indus Deltaic area. Specific objectives of the project are;

Objective 1: Conserving the threatened breed of Achi Tapri Goat in Sindh by the project period

Activity streams:

1. Strengthening Achi Tapri Goat Farm in District Tando Muhammad Khan
2. Purchasing at least 20 goats
3. Hiring 2 local Livestock Keepers to organize Goat shed effectively

Objective 2: Increasing rearing of Achi Tapri Goat tendency in the area to sustain this breed

Activity streams:

1. Identify at least 20 progressive livestock keepers in the area
2. Consultative and mobilization meetings with the identified progressive livestock keepers
3. Supply at least 20 goats annually to the local community at the end of project period on two years agreement
4. Organize Two trainings for the progressive livestock keepers on the management of Achi Tapri goat

Objective 3: Raising awareness, documenting the lessons learnt on the Achi Tapri Goat

Activity Streams:
1. Organize distribution Ceremony of Achi Tapri Goats
2. Mobilizing local community to sustain this breed and increase production
3. Introduce the Goat in major Livestock markets of District Tando Muhammad Khan to increase breed
4. Developing linkages with Agriculture and livestock institutions in Sindh

Other supporting activities

1. Establishing project office
2. Purchasing furniture and fixtures
3. Reporting and monitoring
4. Midterm and final evaluation of the project
