Introduction and Promotion of Low cost Hydraulic Compressed Earth Blocks
Project Goal
1. Low-cost Hydraulic compressed earth block initiative for local people with local soil by contributing to climate-cooling deeds
Project Objective
2. Establish 1 fixed unit for making Hydraulic Compressed Earth Block (HCEB) for delivering HCEB to poor and disadvantaged people for building low-cost houses in the targeted area
3. Install Compressed earth Block machinery and collection and delivery unit
4. Awareness and building capacity to local people to make and promote compressed earth block demand and supply
5. Introduce arsenic free water-kits to prevent outbreak of water and sanitation related diseases through ensuring access to safe drinking water, hygiene education and installation at targeted district
Activities to meet objectives
6. Establishment of 1 unit for making compressed earth block
7. Preparing Compressed Earth Block by sizeable as required and demanded
8. Sensitization of communities and masses towards climate friendly and most effective low cost compressed earth block
9. 10 Awareness raising sessions 1 local FM-Media program and Promotional and effectiveness of HCEB advertisement in newspaper
10. Capacity building of local people thus creating opportunities for employment with HCEB making unit and work as master trainer to train other fellow-beings
11. Render instant support for poor people having no access to safe drinking water by providing introductory water-purifying kit for 50 households
ACTIVITIES
12. Establishment of office in the nearby of project area
13. Hiring of project staff
14. Project orientation Program
15. Set up a model house of low-cost-climate-friendly house built with HCEB
16. Sensitization and mobilization meetings with targeted communities
17. Sensitization and mobilization seminars in order to encourage communities to benefit through the project
18. Establishing links and support to local level agencies, NGOs, CBOs and media to strengthening local initiatives for participating in the proposed project.
19. Organize half-yearly meetings of focal points, district liaison points, and non-agency groups separately.
20. Organize and co-ordinate activities for the observance of ?Climate Day? annually.
21. Information dissemination for mainstreaming, awareness building campaign among general people about low cost houses development initiatives
22. Outreach and dissemination through website, mass media, newsletter, library and awareness materials
