Introduction of SGP Pakistan EE Stove in Muzaffargarh, & Ensuring its Sustainability
The objective of the project is
1) To promote renewable energy by providing the poor and most vulnerable community with SGP Pakistan innovated Insolated Metallic Stoves cooking, while capacity building for ensuring replication and sustainability of the project initiatives in the long run, and ensuring communities involvement, especially women in environment friendly practices to decrease environment degradation
2) Involvement of all stakeholders? especially local authorities and communities are aware of environmental issues.
Provision of 300 SGP Pakistan innovated Insolated Metallic Stoves in targeted beneficiaries following are major activities which will be conducted in proposed area for the better environment

Project Activities:
Activity 1: Preparation Activity (Recruiting and Orientation of Project staff)
The project staff will be hired in order to initiate the project. 1 Project Coordinator, 1 Admin and Finance Officer, 2 Social Mobilizes, and 1 Office Attendant will be hired for taking lead in project programming and financial matters. After hiring staff will be oriented about project objective, activities and strategy.
Activity 2: Preparation of Base line
EGS initially conduct baseline survey to collect basic information and actual situation in the targeted UC 36. The data of baseline survey will support in identifying and selection of 300 beneficiaries. Beneficiaries will be provided insolated metallic stoves in their houses. Proposed Isolated Metallic Stoves efficient stove is kind of stove which have two burners that can be used at a time to save wood as fuel.
Activity 3: Awareness and Mobilization sessions in the targeted villages
40 Awareness Sessions will be held to aware the community and CBOs about environmental issues and problems in 10 villages with 25 to 30 members. In awareness and mobilizations sessions, communities will be sensitize and mobilize to plant saplings and use environment friendly insolated metallic stoves. Importance of plants and its benefits regarding environment and disadvantages of tree cutting will be highlighted.
Activity 4: Coordination meeting with notables and village activists
15 Co-ordination meetings will be organized to involve local notables and villages activists. These meetings will support organization to onboard influential and activist at village level. Those will support in activates and in identifying beneficiaries.
Activity 5: Awareness Campaign
EGS along with communities, including men, women, teachers, students, local activists, influential, member of civil society, and local authorities will demonstrate Awareness Walk in the district. The purpose of event is to highlight the importance of better environment and share the bad impact of cutting trees. It will also be initiative to involve all the stakeholders in better environment.
Activity 6: Coordination meeting with local authorities
Coordination meetings will be organized with district authorities and line departments to share the issues of the environment in the area and sensitize them to be involved and take steps to stop tree cutting. These meeting will be organized with involvement of communities after sensitization and awareness of community who themselves share the issues of environment in the area
Activity 7: Formation and Training at village level
EGS will form 10 community organizations in the targeted villages. 40% to 50% female will be encouraged to participated and included in CBOs. After formation of community based organizations, they will be trained regarding organizational development and manufacturing of energy efficient Isolated Metallic Stoves. Each committee will be responsible to shoulder the intervention as soon as they get trained in creating awareness in masses regarding deforestation and environmental degradation. This committee will support to promote SGP EE metallic stoves in targeted areas.
Activity 7: Training Provision to Household for the USE & Maintenance of Isolated Metallic Stoves:
After the identification and selection of beneficiaries with involvement of CBOs, trainings will be given to household women who will be focused in the training on usage of insolated metallic stoves in their house. They will be trained regarding Does and Don?ts of the metallic stoves for sustainable use. Women will be trained as they are the primary users of stoves in the houses.
Activity 8: Training to Local Blacksmiths for the Replication of SGP EE Insulated Metallic Stoves:
Training will be held where two local blacksmith will be trained by the technical person/trainer. In the training, blacksmiths will be trained regarding the making of portable Insulated Metallic Stoves who will facilitate communities to make stoves. Two Tool kits will also be provided for making of stoves. Following equipments will be in tool kit:
o Normal Press
o Rail
o Hammer set
o Ravel Machine
o Drill Machine
o Scale and Plask/Holder/Bender
o Copper Tube , Heat exchange Manufacturing and
o Holding & Fixing tool for connection to drum
Activity 9: Provision of 300 SGP EE Insulated Metallic Stoves to selected beneficiaries
After the identification and training to local blacksmiths, facilitation will be given to beneficiaries for making Insolated Metallic Stoves. This stove is kind of stove which can be moved from one place to another easily. Specification of Insolated Metallic Stoves is as under:
? Two cells (First Cell: 12? size and second cell 8? size with 3 diameters
? 22 Gauge sheet chimney , hot water facility
? Clan wool through copper heat exchange insulation in blue water collecting
? Insulated bottom
? Handle for portable dues
? Open able door of 6? size
? Stove will be portable with legs 2?
? Dunkin device of 2? and total 8? depth
? Grating of ¼ diameters will be rest on the project support
? All the joints will be fixed through approved rivet size
? First & second cell shall be coupled together and chimney will also be coupled as per requirement
Activity 10: Provision of 300 RCC Pipes to selected beneficiaries for stoves
During the making of stoves for beneficiaries, pipes will be provided which will be installed in stove and supportive for wear smoke out of the house. One RCC pipe will be of 10 inch feet long and internal width of pipe will be 4 inch round. Beside that two elbows will also be jointed to curve pipe to other side.
Activity 11: Distribution Ceremony of Insolated Metallic Stoves
A ceremony will be organized where all the stakeholders including communities, local authorities, line departments, members of social sectors and journalist will participate. Intention of organizing ceremony is to distribute insolated metallic stoves to selective beneficiaries of all targeted villages. Distribution ceremony will help to make communities responsible and support in continuing better practices in the area for better environment. Besides, participants will share their experience and response regarding the insolated metallic stoves. CBOs will be responsible to promote the usage of insolated metallic stoves and share better practices to other villages.
Activity 12: Monitoring Visits by Management Team
Monitoring visits will be continued through the project period. Total 44 visits of the management of the Earth Greener Society will be done: 4 visits in a month will be done which will start on second month of the project period. This management team will support and facilitate in identifying gaps and they will suggest and recommend strategy to conduct activities and project.
