Renewable energy for sustainable development of local communities
The main goal of the project is to provide access to reliable, sustainable and up-to-date energy sources and take urgent measures to combat the climate change and its consequences by installing the solar panels and energy-efficient windows in the Center for the Best Practices for Sustainable Development in Ukraine. The workplaces are created and useful social activities are organized for the local community in the non-working time (for approximately 200 people). Specific tasks of the project are informational and educational activities (creation of an active solar battery demonstration model, an active demonstration model of the energy-efficient windows and workshops); installation of the "Solar Electric Autonomous Station? complex; energy-saving measures.

Gender equality is a part of project policy and all parties participate in project activities on equal base and benefit from project results. Through the active involvement of women, the project helped to improve gender equality in the traditionally male-dominated energy sector.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
The Communications strategy of the project includes seminars for local governments, educational institutions to promote knowledge about sustainable development and technologies that promote environmental friendliness.
