Introduction of energy efficient and low-carbon technologies in public building
The main task of the "Center for Complex Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons of Melitopol City Council of Zaporizhya Region" municipal organization is to provide rehabilitation services for children and adults with disabilities through a set of social, psychological, pedagogical and physical rehabilitation measures. At present, the Center services 135 children and 152 adults, including 16 internally displaced persons.

Gender equality is a part of project policy and all parties participate in project activities on equal base and benefit from project results.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Implementation of the energy-saving technologies, including replacement of the old windows with the energy-saving ones reduces the heat energy losses by 101.227 Gcal per year. Using a heat pump instead of electric heater reduces electric energy consumption by 422.4 kW per month, and by 2956.8 kW per year. In general, implementation of the energy-saving and low carbon technologies reduces emissions of the greenhouse gases by 23.9352 t CO2 eq. per year.
