Preservation of the biodiversity of a unique natural boundary through revival of national, spiritual and moral traditions, rational use of natural resources and creation of alternative economic activities through development of ecotourism in local communities' areas.
The project aims at preserving the biodiversity of a unique natural boundary, which includes the areas named by the local population as "Devol bar", "Tavalgon", "Kalodi Shohin", "Sebhoi samarkandi". The idea of the project is to capitalize on the potential of the local community and authorities to revive the national, spiritual and moral traditions of the population for rational use of natural resources and preservation of the region's biodiversity. The project involves creation of new types of alternative activities that reduce pressure on genuine natural areas, as well as new sources of income through the development of ecotourism, utilizing the potential of the local community, to reduce poverty.
The purpose of the project is to preserve biodiversity through revival of national, spiritual and moral traditions of the population, rational use of natural resources and creation of alternative economic activities that reduce pressure on genuine natural territories through the development of ecotourism in local communities' areas.
1. Increasing the level of environmental culture and public awareness through revival of national, spiritual and moral traditions of caring for nature.
2. Mobilizing capacity of the local community into the local authorities' decision-making process on the matters of biodiversity conservation.
3. Implementation of activities for the restoration of the habitat of mountain ungulates.
4. Organization of a nursery for the eventual afforestation of suitable territories to get more productive fruit trees and trees used as fuel and building materials.

Inovative Financial Mechanisms
A draft local biodiversity conservation plan will be developed and submitted for approval to the Hukumat (Administration) of the district for long-term collaboration of the parties concerned.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
A protected ecosystem will be established by the local community, involving active households in the buffer zone, and green patrol actions will be conducted. It is envisaged to conduct a study of biodiversity of the natural boundary, implement biotechnical activities and create 4 feeding places to feed wild animals in winter.
