? The pressure on the environment will reduce as a result of reducing the felling of trees and shrubs. A reduction of felling of trees and shrubs by 10-15% in the pilot households is expected.
? Access to knowledge on technologies for the thermalization of premises through the use of local natural materials, the use of energy-efficient stoves, energy-efficient construction, the production of power from wastes and the introduction of RES will be improved. At least 500 people will be informed through the training and information campaign.
A plan of action for the Energy Committee will be drawn up and implemented in each village:
? 3 photovoltaic (PV) stations with a capacity of 1 to 3 kW will be installed in high school, medical office, Women's Centre
? for the development of women's business and farming 3 solar PV stations (1-3 kW) will be installed in the women's farming co-operative in the village of Beruni, women's sewing mini-workshops in the villages of Dehkanobad and Sodiqi
? 20 small-scale demonstration energy sub-projects will be implemented at the household and community levels (establishment of a power bank, rental point of equipment operating on solar panels, 10 solar cookers)
? an information campaign will be carried out with beneficiaries' interviews over the radio, a video podcast will be produced, case studies will be described and published in a brochure, a round table on the community's experience on managing energy resources and promoting RES and AES will be conducted
Capacity - Building Component
Energy needs will be assessed in 5 pilot villages. An Energy Committee will be established on the basis of the Women's Resource Centre in the village of Dehkanobad
Training courses on RES and affordable energy technologies will be conducted at the local level for members of the Energy Committee, moderators and community activists from 5 villages.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
The gained experience and knowledge are disseminated through a Brochure on success stories, the publication of an analytical review "Gender and energy", information booklets, a video film "Available energy sources and rural women", 4 educational videos, and the distribution of information messages on the network of public organizations of Tajikistan and Central Asia. The project materials were presented at the Environmental Forum in Tashkent (may 2018), the available technologies at the UNDP exhibition in Dushanbe (November 3, 2018) and the Climate Conference in Tashkent (April 3-4, 2019).)

Notable Community Participation
The project aims to improve access to energy by supporting community-based energy projects and installing RES (renewable energy sources) equipment, as well as developing local energy management through the establishment of a Committee on community energy. The project is focused on women farmers and housewives from 5 villages of Hisor (Gissar) Valley.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The social sustainability of the project will be supported through the involvement of rural communities, beneficiaries, community-based organizations in the planning of the Energy Committee's activities and the evaluation of training activities. The provision of a number of paid services by the Energy Committee (trainings, consulting, repair services) will contribute to the financial sustainability of the project. The financial sustainability plan will be developed at the Energy Committee meeting. Institutional sustainability will be ensured through the transfer of the management to the Women's Resource Centre in the village of Dehkanobad, which would take up the issues related to the coordination of the Energy Committee's activities.
Project sustainability
The sustainability of the project is due to the creation of new sources of income and economic benefits. Economic benefits were obtained in the form of improving the starting conditions for the development of small women's business and farming based on the use of RES: home sewing workshops, national embroidery ? 9 mini-projects using solar energy, baking bread in energy-efficient tandoori - 2 mini-projects, vegetable processing using solar water heaters - 1 mini-project, 1 site for the production of fuel briquettes. These benefits are reflected in a 20% reduction in energy costs and savings%
Economic benefits for improvement of life activity at the level of households - through 12 constructed energy efficient furnaces, 10 installed solar kitchens, 5 solar mini power plants, use of energy efficient lamps are received. These benefits are reflected in a 20% reduction in energy costs and savings%

Project Results
On the basis of the women's Center Parastu in the Hissar district, a community energy Committee was created that unites women farmers and entrepreneurs from 5 villages. The establishment of the Committee made it possible to give more sustainable access to energy resources on the basis of self-reliance, to diversify energy sources, to make more active use of local energy sources, RES and energy efficiency.
3 photovoltaic plants were installed in Jamoat, rural school, women's center and sewing workshop with total capacity of 5 KW. Equipment provided access to 580 pupils of high school No. 36 of the village of Langar to the training in a computer class with an independent source of energy, Office of Jamoat Dehqonobod had the opportunity to use their computer hardware for the solar energy source to provide services for people ( computers, printing of certificates to the public, document)
On a competitive basis, 20 mini-projects of women farmers on the use of RES in the development of small women's business in the processing of fruits and vegetables, baking, sewing business were supported. At the same time, 12 energy-efficient furnaces were built, 2 energy-efficient tandoor, 10 solar kitchens, 3 mini solar photovoltaic plants, 10 solar fans were installed, a mini-production of fuel briquettes was created, 3 greenhouses were built for growing early vegetables. more than 20 women have access to hot water for domestic purposes in the centre of the village women's Dehkonobod and for industrial purposes at the site for processing of vegetables. 15 women seamstresses use solar energy for their sewing machines and lighting in the home shop in the village of Sodiki. More than 150 women have benefited directly , improving the conditions for business development, improving the quality and quantity of goods and services, and improving the social and economic conditions of female-headed households.
The use of renewable energy and energy efficiency at the household and small business level in 5 villages allowed to reduce solid fuel consumption by 5.2 tons, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 15 tons , save energy by more than 33,000 kW, led to a reduction in energy costs by 20% in pilot households, reduced felling of trees and shrubs
The project materials were presented at the Environmental Format in Tashkent (may 2018), available technologies at the UNDP exhibition in Dushanbe (November 3, 2018) and the Climate Conference in Tashkent (April 3-4, 2019).)
