Community Forestry Conservation for Community Economic Development (CFCCED)
Project is arming to build capacity of two Community Forestry committee members (Samaki Community Forestry and O?Thmor Da Teuk Kheav Community Forestry in Odar Meancheay province) to conserve 3,104 ha of forest areas by enhancing patrolling activities, Community?s forest boundary canal (4,350m, width: 2m & depth: 1.5m) was constructed to protect CF land encroachment for farming by surrounding community members and digging one pond in Samaki Community Forestry to collect water for wild animals and community?s uses. In addition to that the project also supports O?Thmor Da Teuk Kheav Community Forestry to establish and build capacity of Community Based Eco-Torism (CBET) sub-committee to manage and run this CBET to get income for conserving their forest. Moreover, this project will introduce and support 50 families to implement Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) to increase their income. Documentation lesson learns and good practices are part of this project.
