"Women empowerment and resilience to climate change through climate smart agriculture".
The overall goal of the project is to Improve gender equality through climate smart agro-ecological techniques and practices to sustainably empower women small holder farmers to increase agricultural productivity and food security.
The 4 specific objectives are:
(1).To promote gender sensitive approaches to climate smart agricultural techniques and practices among small holder farmers in 20 communities in the North Bank Region by 2019.
(2).To facilitate the adoption of climate smart agricultural practices and techniques in 20 communities targeting 60 women smallholder farmers by end of 2019
(3). To build the capacities of seven Women Councilors, Local Council women representatives and 20 women leaders to facilitate their ability to influence development programs and projects that affects them
(4). To facilitate women?s acquisition, control and ownership of land and other productive resources by 2019

The project goal is to empower women farmers to acquire land for sustainable livelihoods. With land acquisition, they would be in a better position to improve their livelihoods on a sustainable basis.
