"Ecosystems and biodiversity management project for sustained environmental protection and conservation in Jokadou National Park".
The project aims to restore the degraded landscapes/seascapes of Jokadu National Park in terms of its provision of ecosystem goods and services to the communities living around it. In that regard, the project seeks to facilitate the governance and management of eco-systems and Biodiversity Areas for Sustained Environmental Protection and Conservation in this vital national resource. The specific objectives are:
(1). To strengthen the protection of biodiversity for enhanced ecosystem services
To build and increase community resilience to climate change for improved landscape and seascape conservation.
(2). To restore disturbed landscapes and seascapes as well as vital ecosystem services.
(3). To protect remaining forests and forest covers against exploitation and destruction.
(4). To increase awareness on environmental education in the management and restoration of natural vegetation and biodiversity
