- The project targets youth who are vulnerable to migration using illegal routes to Europe as a result of climate change impacts on their communities. Through this project, the goal is to develop the skills of selected youth from 8 different villages on adaptation o clime change through the adoption of climate smart agricultural practices.

- The project selected 10 villages for implementation namely: Sama Taba, Berending, Essau, Kerr Jarga Jobe, Njawara, Kerewan, Darsilameh, Mademba kunda, Toroba and Kerr Dekunbaya.

- In each of the 8 villages, a 1/4 hectare of land was acquired by each participating member which was fenced by the project and inputs provided for the production of vegetables. The following fencing were procured and supplied to the beneficiaries: 60 chain linked wires, 25 bundles of binding wire, 535 angle iron bars as fence posts.

- A 5-day training workshop on Climate Smart Agriculture was conducted for the beneficiaries. The training was aimed at enhancing the skills of the youth participating in the project on mitigating the impacts of climate change on their livelihoods by teaching them the concept and methodology of climate smart agricultural practices.

- To address the impacts of climate change on rural communities, the provided fencing materials for the establishment of 1/2 hectare gardens in the 11 villages of which the beneficiaries were 6 female and 9 young men. Within the gardens, Climate Smart Agricultural Practices were practiced after initially training the beneficiaries on the concept of CSA at the Njawara Agricultural Training Centre.

- A step down training was conducted for 6 communities (Kerr Jarga, Sama Taba, Sare Biram Kumba, Njawara, Kerewan and Darsilameh) on CSA and the trainees in turn would further train their contemporaries in the villages upon return thereby spreading the message for further replication.

- 150 energy saving stoves were manufactured and distributed among households in the 11 village beneficiaries to promote energy efficiency technology that would contribute towards reducing deforestation, GHG emissions and indoor pollution.

- 200 mango seedlings and 140 lime seedlings are raised and distributed to the 11 beneficiary villages for planing in their gardens and environment to improve the tree cover.

- To promote sustainable livelihoods of the youth groups participating in the project, 30 Holland Blue Chicks were purchased and distributed for income generation.
