Establishment of a system for collecting and dealing with waste bulbs and fluorescent lamps as part of the project "Launching a system for collecting electrical and electronic waste and waste batteries in Skopje and Bitola
The expanded project will contribute to the protection of human health and the environment. The main objectives of this project are: protection of soil, water and air pollution caused by the current management of WEEE, with a focus on waste lamps and to reduce environmental damage from waste lamps. Through the wide range of public awareness raising measures, including measures for separate waste collection points, as well as the treatment for reducing their volume through the best available technical solutions, as well as their further treatment, the objectives of the project will be achieved.
With the help of this project, an organized collection system for this waste will be established, which will be handed over to appropriate treatment installations and will prevent pollution from it. With the purchase of appropriate residual technology that will be able to handle this waste for Macedonian conditions.
In addition, there will be energy savings for using recycled metal and reducing the impact on climate change. The ultimate goal is the protection of the environment and human health.
