The sacred Siddha Sarobar Brahmakunj Dharmik Band Tal is rich in biodiversity. Located inside the Shorea Robusta and its associated forest and being close to Suklaphata Wildlife Reserve, the lake is home for a number of wild animals such as leopard, spotted dear, wild boar, hare, jackel and blue sheep. Avian fauna such as Pallas?s Fish Eagle, Pied Kingfisher, White-breasted, Cattle Egret, Strok-billed Kingfisher, Peafowl and hornbills are also found here. Last year, great ruddy woodpecker, the largest of the woodpecker, is reported for the first time outside the protected area. The area is currently managed by Siddha Sarobar Bramhakunda Paryatakiya Chhetra religious forest. Being in the Churiya region, the wetland is affected by siltation and eutrophication with Ipomoea as dominant invasive species
