Energy saving renovation of long-unused building in a specially protected area for the Rural Development Center operation
Project goal: 1. Develop demonstration models of energy-saving buildings of the Rural Development Centre in "Slauharadski? Republican Aquatic Swamp Reserve. 2. Achieve annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions up to 6,000 kg with adaption of solar systems along with soil fuel-fired boilers, up to 3,500 kg a year due to the local communities' training through the "Green Energy" program
Project tasks:
1. Repair and put in operation two buildings of the Rural Development Center (a hostel and a training center), outfit the Center with heat and hot water supply based on solar systems and soil fuel-fired boilers. 2. Develop and implement the "Green Energy" training program for local communities. .
Expected results:
? The renovated two buildings of the Center for Rural Development (hostel and training center) are equipped with heating and hot water systems using solar systems and solid fuel boilers;
? Annual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions due to the introduction of heliosystems in combination with solid fuel boilers will amount to 6,000 kg;
? The Center for Rural Development implements the educational program "Green Energy";
? More than 1,000 visitors to the center got acquainted with the educational program "Green Energy" during the first year of its work;
? Thanks to the educational program "Green Energy", visitors are introducing simple affordable energy-saving technologies, which can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 3,500 kg per year;
? Representatives of all 7 districts of the south-eastern region of the Mogilev region got acquainted with the services of the Center for Rural Development, most of the districts used them.

Project Characteristics and Results
Project sustainability
? A demonstration model of energy-saving buildings of the Center for Rural Development of the GPU ?Slavgorodskaya?Golubaya Krinitsa ?, operating with the help of the integrated use of solar systems and solid fuel boilers, has been created.
? The estimated reduction in annual greenhouse gas emissions in 2021 is 6,000 kg.
? It is planned that the Center in 2021 will receive about 1000 visitors (trainings, information events, individual visitors). All of them will be informed about the project and the educational program "Green Energy".
Replication of project activities
Representatives of 5 districts of the Mogilev region (Klichev, Bykhov, Khotimsk, Cherikov and Krasnopolie) are familiar with the potential services of the Center for Rural Development, most of the districts are planning to use them. A number of existing projects are already planning to hold their events for 2021 on the basis of the Center (trainings, regional forum, initiative fairs, rallies, start-ups, etc.).
