Project goal: Reduce CO2 emissions and provide improved living conditions for 50 lonely elderly and disabled persons by implementing energy-saving activities in the Pensioners' Temporary Stay House in the village of Praletarskaje of Kasciukovichy District, Mahiliou Region.
Project tasks:
? Carry out energy efficient renovation of 1,700 square meters of roof, replace 78 windows in the Pensioners' Temporary Stay House ? Reduction of the cost of maintenance of lonely elderly persons in under-populated faraway settlements will allow reallocating the funds to more global problems of the district. ? 35 professionals from neighboring districts, 50 professionals from Kasciukovi?y District, 50 residing elderly persons will improve their competence on energy efficiency and climate change
Expected results:
? Repaired 1700 square meters of the roof.
? Improvement of living conditions for 50 single elderly and disabled people residing - in the old building of the former school replaced with 78 windows in bedrooms, dining room, rest room, kitchen and labor workshops (283.6 m2). , heat losses from drafts decreased;
? Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 118.37 tons of CO2 by reducing fuel consumption for servicing citizens in sparsely populated remote settlements in the district.
? In 7 rural councils, a reduction in the cost of paying for electricity consumed by USD 1,580 annually (due to payment for light in sparsely populated remote settlements).
? 35 specialists from adjacent districts, 50 specialists from Kostyukovichi district, 30 specialists from the Kostyukovichsky RCSON institution, 50 people living in the department of older citizens increased their competence in the field of energy efficiency.
? 50 elderly people and people with disabilities improved their living conditions. In living rooms, the air temperature will increase by 4-5 degrees.
