Fine-tuning a technology of automated engineering system control in Cherykau Utilities Company in order to improve fuel use efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions
Project goal: 1. Establish a testing ground in Cherykau Utilities Company for adapting the latest energy efficient practices and technologies, reducing CO2 emissions, as well as adapting the principles of green city management. 2. Cut heat consumption with the pilot heat supply facility by 20-25% of the current indicators
Project tasks:
- carry out a pilot upgrade of the individual heating substation of a 20-apartment building in Cherikov - draft a concept and program of adapting state-of-the-art green technologies enabling, after the project, cost effective automated control over utility engineering systems for improving fuel use efficiency and CO2 emission reduction;- share the project experience with utilities companies from all districts of southeastern Mahiliou Region.
Expected results:
1.Organized partnership with authorities, the company housing and communal services, a non-profit organization, initiative citizens of the city of Cherikov to promote at the local level solutions aimed at reducing CO2 emissions.2. A concept and program for the introduction of modern "green" technologies was developed that would allow providing cost-effective, automated management of utility systems outside the framework of the project to increase the efficient use of fuel resources and reduce CO2 emissions. 3. Modernization of the individual heat point and the heating system of the 20-apartment building in the city of Cherikov was carried out and the use of thermal energy was reduced by 20-25%. Regulation of the temperature of the heating medium supplied to the heating system will be performed depending on the temperature of the outside air, correcting for the temperature of the air in the apartments, the availability of residents, while a significant reduction in consumption will be achieved through the involvement of owners in the management of heating apartments.4. A volunteer group of the local civil movement "creative city" was formed in the city of Cherikov to solve environmental problems, including the reduction of CO2 emissions.5. Creation of a school of communal and environmental literacy among the adult population and children. The training of a pilot group of schoolchildren of 15 people on the topic: "How does communal and environmental literacy affect the reduction of CO2 emissions?"6. The work of the automated heating system was carried out to 40 residents of the house, where ITP and heating systems were modernized and 7 representatives of the Cherikovsky Zhilkommunkhoz UKPP.7. At least 10 informational articles on the pilot initiative, on the impact of communal and environmental literacy on emission reductions and the achievements of the initiative in the course of its implementation (media, Internet portals, printed publications), electronic distribution to housing and communal services of at least 118 districts. Not less than 20,000 residents of the Mogilev region were informed of the results of the project. 8. A video clip was developed to increase the communal and ecological literacy of the population 9. At least 30 participants of the roundtable got acquainted with the results of the project on developing the technology of automated management of engineering systems in the Cherikovsky Zhilkommunkhoz UKPU to improve the efficient use of fuel resources and reduce CO2 emissions.10. The population of the Cherikov district, at least 1,000 inhabitants, was informed of the impact of communal and environmental literacy on reducing CO2 emissions
