The main goals of the project were achieved:
1. Public hearings were held on "Dissemination of environmental knowledge to better understand the processes related to energy efficiency and energy saving, as well as dissemination of experience in the implementation of the demonstration project". The event was attended by 28 participants ? local authorities, the public and experts.
2. By a joint decision of the community representatives during the discussions at the public hearings, social facilities were identified on which, first of all, it was necessary to install street lighting ? several objects on the streets of Pology city, Zaporizhya region.
3. Two working projects for the installation of autonomous lighting systems were developed.
4. 30 autonomous lighting systems were purchased and installed. Their commissioning reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 40.12616 tons of CO2-eq/ year. Also, the refusal to use traditional energy for street lighting saves the city council UAH 5057.77 monthly, and for the year this amount is UAH 60693.24.
5. Two round tables on "Non-traditional energy sources: search, development and use" were held. The event was attended by 52 participants ? local authorities, the public and experts.
6. The final seminar on "Formation of ecological consciousness of the person for increase of energy efficiency and economy of energy resources" was held. Booklets and flash cards with information on ways to save energy and increase energy efficiency in the home were made and distributed for better assimilation of information. The event was attended by 90 people, including energy conservationists, heads of public utilities and environmental NGOs.
7. The implementation of the project had a significant impact on the formation of new social relations between the community and local governments, expanded the field of public participation in making important management decisions, creating long-term development plans, defining strategic directions of social development.
