Agroecology for farmers? households of Lugansk region
The main objective of the project is to ensure quality and sustainable growing of safe food products as well as recovery of the organic potential of the steppe landscape. The project demonstrates organic agriculture methods at the selected plots with testing of different agricultural plants. The partnerships are strengthened between scientists, local community and farmers of Bilovodsk district of Lugansk region. Moreover, a wide awareness raising campaign is conducted to promote effective agroecology techniques and organic production. The campaign includes public hearings, trainings and dissemination of informational materials.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
For the implementation of the practical part of the project, 11 demonstration sites with a total area of 166 hectares were selected. The following equipment was purchased and used for the experiment: biological product Vitazyme (300 liters), cultivator KPS-4-3R, PSS-3 picklers (4 units), fertilizer, secateurs, sprayers, watering cans, phytocide.
