Tajikistan has many breathtaking landshafts and amazingly beautiful nature, though only two places are well known among the foreign tourists: the Pamirs and Fan mountains. However, Yagnob valley is not inferior to these two places in beauty and uniqueness. It is the site of preserved natural landscape and is particularly attractive with preserved the ancient Iranian/Tajik language ? Sogdian language, handicrafts and ancient customs.
Yagnob valley located between the Zeravshan and Hissar ranges. In the eighth mountain villages in the upper valley of Yagnob live Yagnobians, a small Iranian-speaking ethnic group, speaking the yagnobi language (Sogdian ).
Unfortunately, only a very small number of knowledgeable tourists reaches this place through the Zeravshan valley, as the main way of tourists used to come through neighboring state -Uzbekistan and it used to be closed due to political conflicts between two states for many years. Happily, last year the conflict was settled and a large arrival of tourists from Uzbekistan is expected these years.
