Social and Technical Studies on Renewable Energy in Wakatobi
The proposed program will investigate technical and social feasibility of RET implementation in Wakatobi. As shown in Figure 3, technical feasibility aims to define which RET option should be installed. Along with the technical one, social feasibility will be conducted to prepare local community (sample household) in optimizing RET so that it can be a booster for their quality of life.
By conducting the proposed program, several outcomes should be achieved, such as:
? Analyzing RET potential in Wakatobi
? Delivering concept of community development and partnership on utilization of household-scale RET to local community (sample household)
? Raising initiative and willingness to be independent by using household-scale RET
? Inviting local agent and household to perform on maintaining household-scale RET
? Promoting integration of green business based on household-scale RET
Expected result from the proposed program are listed as follows:
? Raising awareness on community development concept with multi-stakeholder partnership for household-scale RET
? General agreement along with local community (sample household) on involvement in planning, implementation, organizational and monitoring of household-scale RET
? Commitment from local community (sample household) to participate in Green Business which utilize household-scale RET
? Documents on knowledge management of household-scale RET
