Restoration and revival of the nesting habitat of marine turtles in Larak Island through local community participation
Highly endangered Hawksbill Turtles conservation in Larak Island in Persian Gulf using the community conserved and participatory conservation model work in Qeshm Island by SGP projects. This work will be done in collaboration with Local Village Council and the local community.
Revitalization of the habitat in the coastal area where the eggs are laid, and removal of human threats will be combined with cultural work and producing knowledge material. The linkage of biodiversity conservation and community conserved coastal areas with livelihoods will be part of the work.
