Project goal:
Revitalization of existing microhydro electric generator to be operated optimally and reduce the fossil fuel usage (diesel and oil) in electricity generation.

Project objective :
1. To reduce the usage of fossil fuel in electricity generation;
2. To optimize the operation of existing microhydro electric generator;
3. To provide the village with adequate electricity needed;
4. To increase the inhabitants productivity (as an indirect impact).


Activities to be carried out under the project :
1. Preparation.
a) Field survey;
b) Redesign the project site;
c) Dialog and agreement with local government.

2. Local training and education in the field.
a) Microhydro electric generation;
b) Operating and maintaining the facility;
c) Sustainable utilization of the resource available.

3. Outreach Approach.
a) Increase the productivity of the inhabitants;
b) Increase the quality of life of the community;
c) Optimal operation and maintenance of the facility.

4. Technical Assistance.
a) Operation and maintenance of the microhydro;
b) Small scale business management.

5. Evaluation and Reporting.

2. Community in Sirnarasa, Cisolok, Sukabumi.

Anticipated result of project :
1. Improved socio-cultural and economic welfare of the community;
2. Dissemination of the project result;
3. Established a model for microhydro electric generator to be adapted to other areas in Indonesia.
