A geobotanical survey and an inventory of pastures have been carried out, and an electronic map of pastures in the project area has been created.
A Pasture Management Plan is being developed using a computer program with the future entering of all collected data. Livestock owners and pasture users are involved in the development of the plan, which makes the allocation of pasture areas transparent, ensures control over their use, and facilitates the introduction of pasture rotation. A committee of pasture users will be created, pasture rotation for each group of pasture users will be developed, pasture users will be trained in methods of assessing the condition of pasture lands and will be involved in monitoring the fulfillment of all terms and conditions for grazing (the experience of Kyrgyzstan). Members of the local community are trained in the methods of the initial baseline assessment of the state of pasture ecosystems, the calculation of pasture feed capacity and animal load norms. A manual will be elaborated for the development of a Pasture Management Plan for the rural district and an information and educational campaign will be conducted that will help the rural communities of the district acquire knowledge for self-development and implementation of Plans, taking into account the state of the pasture ecosystem and the availability of livestock.
