As a result of the project
? The load on biodiversity was indirectly reduced by 177,032 hectares (the territory of the State Scientific and Production Enterprise ?Buiratau? along with its protected zone) through the improvement of the work of the tourism department of the State Scientific Research Enterprise ?Buiratau?, improvement of infrastructure, work with the rural population in the buffer zones.
? Education processes in the field of ecotourism covered 4 villages of Turgai, Karagaily, Balykty and Algabas.
? The village of Algabas was chosen from the settlements in the buffer zone of the SSPE ?Buiratau? for the development of the system of guest houses, based on the interest of the residents. Algabas? residents wishing to work with tourists were introduced to the theoretical and practical aspects of working in ecotourism sphere, as well as the positive experience of other ecosites.
? The hosts (hostesses) of the guest houses, as well as the staff of the State Scientific and Production Enterprise, who work with tourists, received Kazakh-Russian-English phrasebooks to communicate with tourists.
? The capacity of children and youth living in the buffer zone of the SSPE ?Buiratau? was increased and strengthened through the creation of a system of vocational guidance and training - a school circle and a field camp.
? The information accessibility of Buiratau has been increased by creation of a tourist map, elaboration of the territory in the main web cartographic systems and creation a ground infrastructure for recreation and orientation. Namely:
- a guide to Buiratau was developed in Kazakh and Russian languages in printed and electronic form with the participation of local ethnographers.
- two recreation sites (garden houses), two points for observing wildlife, 10 directional signs and 5 information boards were arranged, as well as marking and updating of the navigation infrastructure in the territory of the Sokolinye Mountains.
- A pocket-sized tourist map-scheme was published with a total circulation of 9000 copies in Kazakh, Russian and English languages, and was distributed by the "Avalon" PF and SSPE ?Buiratau?, as well as by our partners throughout Kazakhstan.
- More than 30 objects of interest and significance for the tourist were included in the web mapping systems GoogleMaps, Open Street Map, Wikimapia and YandexMaps. The Open Street Map and Wikimapia also have an average of about 100 kilometers of roads and pathways.
? The tourist potential of the State Scientific and Production Enterprise ?Buiratau? has been increased as follows:
- Information about the possibilities of the region is available in 4 tourist information centers (Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Uralsk, Kokshetau, as well as in more than a dozen other tourist organizations).
- The representative office of the SSPE ?Buiratau? was organized in Karaganda.
- An information tour to Buiratau was organized and conducted for the representatives of Kazakhstani media, bloggers and video bloggers, as well as tour operators? companies. As a result of the info tour, more than 30 publications have already been published in social networks, and this process is still ongoing.
- The pages "Ecotourism in Buiratau" on Facebook, Instagram and Vkontakte, as well as a channel on Telegram have been created and are working. Information about the guest houses is available in web-based mapping systems, as well as on the Avalon website.
