- The goal of the project was to combat climate change, enhance farm incomes, increase vegetable production and sustain the ecosystem for food security. The project selected a progress farmer (Bajana Touray), a member of the Fangdondy Kafo Kantog Kunda - a local CBO. The farmer would be adopting an integrated crop-livestock-apiculture farming to maximise synergy with specific outcomes and outputs.

- The project goal was pursued through 5 main activities namely:
- Support for the establishment and execution of a system to achieve synergy on the farm
- Provision of a reliable water system to enable all year farming activity.
- Establishment of a small poultry breeding scheme adopting good husbandry practices.
- Establishment of an agroforestry component.
- Establishment of an apiculture (bee farming).

- A 1 hectare piece of land was acquired and fenced by the project to serve as a both a demonstration farm as well as a training centre for other farmers of the CBO drawn from neighboring communities.

- A bore hole was successfully drilled and connected to 2 overhead water tanks with a combined capacity of 4, 000 litres. In addition, 2 water stand pipes were installed in 2 different parts of the farm.The bore hole was connected t 2 solar panels for water pumping.

- A small poultry breeding scheme was also started. A poultry house was constructed and the farmer supplied with 100 broilers. Upon completion of the poultry house, the farmer was given basic training on various aspects of poultry management and supplied with farmer also received 3 categories of poultry feed (starter, grower and finisher).

- A store for the safe keeping of the farmer's tools and produce was also constructed and an adjacent room was also added as a sleeping room for overnight stay by the farmer during production peaks.

- Veterinary drugs were also supplied for the control of the common poultry diseases.

- On the agroforestry component, Gmelina seedlings, leguminous and Moringa were planted along the perimeter to provide animal feed for the livestock. A training session was conducted to enhance the skills of the farmer on agroforestry and integrated crop- livestock- apiculture.

- Garden tools and farm inputs such as 2 wheel barrows, 2 spades, 2 shovels, 2 rakes, 2 hand forks, 2 watering cans and seeds o onions, okra, tomatoes, egg plants, bitter tomatoes were provided to the farmer to start the vegetable component of the project.

- To initiate the apiculture component, 10 KTB beehives were supplied along with a set of protective gears to the farmer. The 10 hives were placed both inside and outside the garden and monitored regularly.
