Conservation and Rehabilitation of Natural Resources for Rawai Coastal Community
? Objectives:
a) To improve community?s potential with Female conserved fishing group biodiversity along coastal area for sustainable food and handle of climate change.
b) To support concrete activity, problem solving, restore and protect marine life, fisherman?s working area, solar cell system, and improve diversity of Rawai beach.
c) To encourage the exchanging of knowledge to expanding of activities, and concrete protection and restoration of fisherman group in Phuket and other areas.

? Target area:
Rawai subdistrict, Muang district in Phuket province. It is a beach coastal area which is 16.5 kilometers away from town. It is famous for a lot of tourists both Thai and foreigners as a place to dine.
? Proposed activities:
a. Activity to strengthen community?s ability
i. Meeting with the organization to explain about the project and corporate with district organization
ii. Activity training and visiting to exchange with protection of newborn marine life group, and women protection of marine and coastal resources.
iii. Training about daily energy saving and encourage renewable energy usage in community level
b. Demonstration/Operation
i. Set up solar cell system
ii. Create more artificial reef, newborn marine life nursery with fisherman local wisdom, and buoy line along fish houses
c. Knowledge management activity (gather information, result, lessons learned, and experiences from the project)
i. Gather data, experiences and results of the project to exchange knowledge between communities and organizations.
ii. Create media to distribute for example, brochures and sign in conservative area and community

Seafarer and fisherman that have been living along Andaman coast for a long time. Within Phuket, there are five fisherman communities.
