? Objectives:
a) To develop community?s capability in managing community forest, organic farming, and alternative careers based on resources and cultures
b) To improve forest management plan that focus on preserving biodiversity along with developing quality of life and cultures
c) To support Karen network in 3 provinces (Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi, and Uthai thani) in exchanging knowledge and cooperating based on their cultures

? Target area:
Huai-hin-dam village in Moo 6 Wangyao subdistrict, Dan Chang district in Suphanburi province. The village is in a hill area with a small flat area. It locates in pan shaped area in the middle of mountain with Huai-hin-dam stream flow through
? Proposed activities:
a. Activity to strengthen community?s ability
i. Research on cultures of Karen people in Huai-hin-dam
ii. Create cultural learning platform for Karen youth in Huai-hin-dam
iii. Create information center about community forest, organic farming, textiles, Karen network in three provinces, and community forest fund
b. Demonstration/Operation
i. Explore along community forest line, rotated farm, and usable forest line with Pu-toey national park officers
ii. Research on biodiversity and carbon level in the community
iii. Develop community forest management plan and create agreement on beneficial usage of community forest
iv. Build fire break and take care of mountain pipe
v. Redevelop community check-dam
vi. Develop skills of creating fabric pattern and research on fabric dyeing techniques
vii. Grow plants that could extract colour in the community and stream
c. Knowledge management activity (gather information, result, lessons learned, and experiences from the project)
i. Conclude on the work of community forest, the work of community forest fund, and on the work and direction of Karen network in three provinces
d. Participatory evaluation
i. Create platform to present concrete project to Karen network in three provinces
ii. Create medias to publicly announce the project and exchanging GEF projects
