A Child, A Tree Plantation in District Thatta
They are working on a Unicef-assisted project of providing Primary Education to girls children in rural areas of Thatta District. They are running at present 200 schools, and 6000 girls are taking education.
The objective is to spread literacy ? child education and adult literacy throughout rural areas of Sindh particularly basic education among young girls and adult females through non-formal system of primary education in villages of province. Also work for development of villages by integrating education project with other projects of water sanitations, women in development, primary health care, credit for rural women, all assisted financial by UNICEF.

There is no mobilization/motivation campaign by any agency in the district to generate love of trees in the people. It is necessary that love and care be created in the children at least, to plant, protect and preserve trees for our future environment. This will train a child to care for the tree. It will also help increase number of trees where the number is already depleted.
