The project forested a community degraded land - graveyard of about 10 hectares with the innovative women led approach. Women role in environment protection was one of the key messages which was successfully demonstrated by the women team. The world Environment Day, Earth Day, Climate Change Week, Biodiversity Day have been celebrated by the women group at the provincial level which raised the awareness of thousands of youth, women and other community people at the provincial level.

The campaign against the plastic waste was one the key activities of the women group. They conducted three campaigns against plastic bags used by bread (Nan) backers in Faizabad city of Badakhshan which was attended by CSOs and government senior provincial officials. All these activities were headed by women. They went from shop to shop, provided them cotton bags to use instead of plastic bags. They explained the hazards of plastic and raised the awareness of backers and the communities to stop using the plastic bags for the hot breads.

In Badakhshan, the provincial directorates are at one compound where there was no greenery or a single tree or flowers planted. The women group launch an initiative of green office. They planted the area themselves and involved the provincial directorates to convert the area in to a green space. They provided evergreen and other ornamental plants and flowers. The areas is converted in to a green space.

During the pandemic, the women group made thousands of face mask and distributed free of charge to those who were unable to procure.
