The project agreement included preparation of site and plantation of saplings 10 thousand plants and HDAO have totally completed the preparation of site for plantation of saplings and plantation of more than 11000 saplings including almond, evergreen plants and other plants locally named as Russian willow, Acacia in the site in three different phases have totally completed till end of March 2020.
? Preparing/Installing the irrigation system including installation of solar water pump: HDAO have installed solar water pump, and installation of pipe irrigation system has been completed by HDAO, form the water reservoir the pipes are installed in the whole area where the samplings are planted and water tapes at different points for watering the saplings have been installed from which now the watering of saplings through pipes take place.
? Conducting trainings and awareness rising session for the communities:
HDAO have conducted trainings regarding awareness of the communities with technical support from NEPA in which the communities? members are trained in awareness for the importance of environment protection. (Bio Diversity Conservation Training for Community) and ?A Frame training? (in which the proper leveling of the site for the plantation is highlighted to the communities) were more effective trainings.
? Developing a training/awareness raising manual:
HDAO have has developed a training /awareness raising manual for the awareness of the communities. HDAO has also been distributed the NEPA developed awareness broachers among the communities in Duran khail village during training session.
? Installation of Project sign boards: HDAO has been completed installation of project sign boards indicating the project details and one indicates Bain on hunting in the project area according to Afghanistan wild life protection law.
