Within the framework of the project, a system of separate collection of household waste was introduced (transfer of solid waste into secondary raw materials) by the residents of the multi-apartment residential buildings with the subsequent sale of secondary raw materials for processing. Containers for separate waste collection are installed at 5 demo sites.
? Energy-efficient technologies have been introduced in the pilot multi-apartment residential buildings (in this case, energy-efficient inside-entrance lighting): replacement of outdated lamps (incandescent lamps, mercury-containing lamps) in the entrances with modern LED ones, as well as the installation of motion sensors to achieve a reduction in energy consumption.
? A scheme was developed for using the income received from the sale of secondary raw materials for the needs of the multi-apartment residential buildings, including the measures to reduce energy consumption and energy efficiency (30% of income). Formation and operation of the Energy Saving Fund.
? All technical measures carried out within the framework of the project (energy-efficient modernization of lighting in the entrances, separate waste collection by residents of the multi-apartment residential buildings with subsequent sale for recycling) were accompanied by measures to inform the residents of pilot multi-apartment residential buildings about the possibilities and benefits of EE technologies, as well as making joint decisions on their implementation
? At the moment, the project approach is being replicated in Uralsk, Shardar, Tajikistan.
? The project contractor is developing a site for primary plastic pressing and plans to form a further collection and transportation of the collected plastic to the processing company.
