Sea Buckthorn as Source of Sustainable Livelihoods in Wakhan, Badakhshan
The purpose of this project is to establish an enterprise in Qozideh Wakhan and Ishkashim town where sea buckthorn berries will be collected, cleaned, graded, packaged and marketed out of the landscape.
The Project will be implemented by the Community Development Council-CDC of Qozideh village, under technical help and supervision of Rupani Foundation. District Government, including the district agriculture officer and representative of NEPA are government counterparts that will be part of the monitoring committee of the project. District government staff will also participate in the consultations training.
