Forest protection and Conservation in the upper buffer zone of Lake Langano through Income Generating Activities
The project is intended to protect and ensure sustainable forest conservation through promoting regeneration of indigenous trees upper zone the lake langano in Dawe kebele. in this regards, the project plans to restore and conserve 221 hectors of degraded land by cooperative members via different income generating activities and biophysical measures like Soil and water conservation such as soil bund ,stone bund etc., Animal fattening, Supply of solar energy and distribution considering every member contribution fee, poultry production activities by protecting the lake from siltation created due to manning, Saving stove production and distribution, Eco-tourism center establishment , capacity building, promoting indigenous tree sapling on closed area
