Notable Community Participation
At this stage only young people working at the SMSA are involved.

Capacity - Building Component
Capacity building takes several forms and extends over several levels, namely:
1-Member of the Board of Directors: SMSA - Communication

- Planning of the agricultural campaign
3-Young team works:
-Operation and maintenance of heavy machinery "tractors"
-Manual and mechanical size
-Cultivation techniques (plowing, amendment, picking and others)

- Product Development and Co-Productions
- Oil (soap)
- Twig and pomace (livestock feed): silage
- Dry wood (works of art)
- -introduction of livestock in the olive farm.
ii. Technical assistance :
The project will provide technical assistance consisting of:
- A management and project management specialist who accompanies the SMBSA along the implementation of the project: (4h / d) / month is 2 men / month.
- A specialist in olive growing for assistance with the implementation of technical packages and innovations related to tree and soil (researcher): 2 men / month.
iii. Supervision and manpower:
- Recruitment of a technician (agronomist or manager) (12h / month)
- Seasonal workforce: 1 permanent driver and 3 seasonal workers (size crew)
iv. Equipments:
- Lot of office and computer equipment
- Cutters
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The improvement of the population's income will be an indirect result through:
- Improvement of the productivity of the orchard
- The improvement of olive yields
- Product valuation
- Diversification of income (breeding, production of figs, silage ...)
Gender Focus
These women are involved at two levels:
Executives direction: 1 to 2 women
Valuation of products, by-products and drying of figs: 10 to 13 women
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
i. During the editing of the project, SMSA limited itself to discuss and propose the project to the members of the board of directors and the executive director.
The SMSA has involved two skills of the olive growing sector for advice and support, it is:
- Regional Director of the Olive Institute (IO)
- Regional Director of Agricultural Development
ii. As mentioned above, this particular project reveals interest at 3 levels:
? SMSA level: SGP budget allocations are a great support for the mechanization activity already undertaken on its own program but for the reinforcement of its capacities in terms of technical assistance, manpower and support for experiments pilots it intends to engage.
? Agricultural Development Level: the promotion of the Agricultural Service oriented to olive growing through SMSA is one of the major objectives in the regional strategy for the development of rainfed agriculture, and consequently participation, support and follow-up this project constitutes a priority of the regional agricultural development structure.
