Al-aoula -Dyr Al-Rodain and Al-Ablia-Maqhez projects are located in Azza?lia sub district, Luhayya district, Hodiedah Governorate. There are eight villages benefiting from the two projects. The total beneficiaries are 1,958 households with 11,845 inhabitants and their livestock depend on two tube wells fitted with conventional fuel run pumps in the supply of their domestic water supply. The two tube wells established in 2004 and 2009 with support from Social Fund for Development (SFD) and community contribution. The estimated daily water requirements are 50 and 60 cubic meters. Pumping water from the two tube wells by using two Diesel engins to run the two pumps to elevate water into 18 meters height tower tank beside each well. The two tube well are operated and run bu community since ever their start through collection of water fares according water meters fitted in each household. The operation is managed by two teams of employee community member to ensure smooth operation and secure water supply for the entire population and their livestock.

The two well used up their saving in earlier time to tip up risen fuel cost hence feel insecure. Communities proposed to replace the conventional fuel rum pump with environmentally friendly renewable energy run pump.
