Orientation and attitude change trainings
The purpose of the project is to raise the locals' awareness about the toxic effects of mercury and the need to protect themselves from any risks by warning them against manual gold mining and participating in any use of mercury in a gold mine. A training on how to run an eco-friendly business will be organized under the project to help eliminate the covert use of mercury with the help of public participation and collective monitoring.

The main outcome of our work would be for the residents who drew up projects during the training to receive funding that would enable them to start the projects. We believe that the training has already started to show results.
We presented our work to the local authorities and requested them to support the projects of the residents who participated in the training.
